The pictured dog team owners are Eldon & Lydia Alt of Klamath Falls OR. In the spring of 1964 Eldon began training his Elkhounds to pull a sled and started competing in Jan 1964. Eldon & Lydia also enter their lead dog “King O’ Winema Falls” in weight pulling contests. “King O’ Winema Falls” has pulled 809 pounds which is 14 times his weight! Looks like there are plenty of fun things to do with your Elkhounds.
